Holy smokes.
went to the dealership today. Best offer they could do was me trading in my truck (they valued at $8k) plus $50k cash. I cant bring myself to drop that much on a vehicle so i walked away. That was my first time to a dealership and the whole experience made me more motivated to invest my money on some assets. If i was a millionaire i would have left there with a really nice truck today.

Good for you. Every time I've screwed up the resolve to go to a car deal - used or new or whatever - I've come away with a terrible experience. All my latest vehicles (for about 15 years) were purchased through private individuals. I just don't put up with the BS and can't stomach the games most dealerships and salespeople tend to play.

i went in with an open mind and felt like i had nothing to lose by talking to them. It chose to just have fun with it and did just that. They did do the typical hold on let me talk to my manager a couple times to "work with me" but in the end we were just way too far apart.

thinking about taking every dollar i have and buying lotto tickets. Ill either end up in a long horn Ram or giving my toaster swimming lessons in my bathtub.

My last truck was all internet. Went to the dealer to price a truck and spec it out to get a price.
Once I did, the sales guy said they don't discount. MSRP is what they get and they sell every one they get.
I sent emails to every Toyota dealership in the state with the specs and started working them against each other.
I ended up buying from the guy that said they don't discount many thousand dollars cheaper.
Went to the dealership one time, to spec out and then went back to pick up the vehicle.
Zero interface with sales people.

All in, or all out LOL

The 2011 we got back in Oct, nickel and dimed us like crazy the couple of months. Cant remember what the first thing to go wrong was but the second thing was was the Fuel filter started leaking, third thing was the other fuel filter (Two weeks about at that) then the exhaust sensor went out (not the oxygen sensor, the other one. Cant remember the name)

still havnt bought a truck. I went and looked at this on today...

https://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/cto/d/oklahoma-city-2012-dodge-ram-3500-crew/6852069844.html

took cash ready to buy it and it ended up being a piece of f***in s**t. The guy is a wholesaler "that usually passes his trucks off to dealerships but only keep really nice ones like this to sell personally". I swear Im never wasting my time and gas to look at another used vehicle owned by any type of a dealer unless it is brand spanking new. I was there for 5 minute or less before walking away.

Also didn't like counting out $26,000 cash to drop on a truck either, think I am going to just look for another 7.3 for around $12k and be happy about it. Wonder how much it would cost to cummins swap a 6.0 king ranch? That would be the deal.
