In TX, I broadcast spread the yard with ant stuff and never had any issues in the house because of it. I'd put a "double dose" close to the house and the rest was as directed. Unfortunately, I'm not in TX any more and don't remember the stuff I used. I got the stuff based on a recommendation of a local farm supply store and it seemed to work great.
Any good suggestions here in Tulsa, or a place to go who will make a solid recommendation (not just the most expensive thing they sell)?

I'm not really seeing them IN the house but man they are all over the foundation so I assume they're probably in a wall somewhere.

I have used this.
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Spectracid...MIsZGqu_-W3AIVTbnACh06KgBHEAQYAiABEgLoOvD_BwE

And that chased them into the neighbors yard.
And i used this .
https://www.lowes.com/pd/AMDRO-1-lb-Fire-Ant-Bait-Jug/4573846

That kills even the tiny piss ants at the core.
I just noticed they sell other stuff also.

Good luck.
The spectracide stuff does not last long but the shaker bottles of Amdro will last a long time as it does not take much to feed the nest or queen and the colony dies.

I use this stuff called TERRO; not the pre-packaged ant bait, but the one that comes in a small bottle and you put a couple drops on a small piece of cardboard. Set it out near where you see ants; they will swarm it, carry a little back to the ant nest, and in about 24 hours...no more ants. Resist the urge to squash ‘em when they are around the bait, let them feed, and take some home to the rest of their ant family to share, and kill ‘em all. It works indoors or outdoors. I got it at ACE Hardware and I have seen it at Lowe’s sometimes too.

+1 for Amdro. It's good stuff for taking out a colony. I also use Ortho's Bug B Gon granule. They usually have it on sale for $5/bag/5k sq ft. Goes does easy, works really well. Lasts all Summer.

Depends on what kind of ants you've got. When we had the place at Keystone, we had an ant problem. We had a 'professional' exterminator out, and I think he had sniffed too many of his own chemicals. We tried the Terro ... nothing. Them somebody recommended Amdro. Wiped 'em out!

Did you use the terro in the little pre-made bait packages or the stuff in the squeeze bottle that you put a drop or two out on a piece of cardboard? Man, nothing but killer results for me with that.

I think we tried both, but I know we tried the stuff in the squeeze bottle you're talking about. It didn't work, and that's when some of the neighbors told us we were using the wrong stuff ... get the Amdro, and it worked like a charm. I know Atwood's carried both of them.

One of the Amdros in a bag is really light and will blow away.Make sure you get the heavier granules.I use home defense liquid spray inside my house and it will last 3 or 4 months.

Amdro seems to be a common theme here so I got a jug of the Amdro Ant Block and applied a barrier around the house. They were bad/active in two areas so I will check those same areas in a few days and see if there's still activity.

I also got a bag of Amdro stuff to use in the broadcast spreader and will hit the yard in a few days. Should be good to go til Halloween!
