The CDC estimates that as of 2014, about 70% of all US adults aged 20 and over are overweight, including those who are obese. The CDC considers anyone with a BMI between 25 and 29.9 to be overweight, and those with a BMI of 30 or higher to be obese. I know there’s controversy over the use of BMI to judge a person’s health, but the fact remains that a majority of US adults could stand to lose weight.
