I have my primary safe, need a backup for a few months use. Looking at the 40-capacity ballpark, and in the sub $1,000 mark...preferrably 700-900.
Had one picked out that was on sale at Tractor Supply but its no longer on sale, so I'm looking at other avenues.

Any places I'm not thinking of?

Tractor Supply
Academy
Atwoods
Dongs
SCI
Sports World

I'm not opposed to a good used safe if anybody knows a guy...

These are not the firearms you're looking for.

I was in Dunham Sporting Goods (Shawnee) a few weeks ago, and they had a really good sale going on for their safes. It's in the Shawnee Mall off of I-40.

Good luck in your search!

If your not in a hurry, browse craigslist or Facebook buy sell trade, have gotten a couple armorvault safes from those places. Just takes time to look

I'm not opposed to a certain brand, but the fire ratings on Stack-ons generally suck. Most safes I've been looking at are 45 or 75 minute rated...Stackon is 30.

I will vouch for the Badlands safes sold by SCI. I've got the smallest and it was 560ish I believe. Plus they give a discount to active/prior service and LEO. Not sure on how many my safe will hold but I liked the ratings and some of the features for their budget series.

And yes, its time to recharge my silica beads. The shelves, door organizer and moisture canister were all included. The small shelves can be removed for more rifle storage or you could remove all of the shelves/racks and just have a big open space to stack cases up.
