Anyone paying attention to Amazon charging/collecting too much sales tax? They've been hitting me up for 9.75% since last year and the rate for where I live is only 5.75%. I complained about it and I'm being refunded the excess tax collected, but when I tried to place an order this evening, the sales tax still showed up as being 9.75%! I dumped the order and I won't place another order with them until it gets straightened out. I told them that yesterday and the day before.

You'd think an operation as tech savvy and that big would be able to correct such errors within seconds! Leads me to believe it's being done on purpose. :scream:

I'm guessing they charge the tax rate for whatever city is in your mailing address.

Kinda hard to tell whether you're in the city limits or not if you have a street address rather than a rural route box number. :anyone:

Not sure but they seem to now be charging tax for everything rather than what used to be just purchases that were fulfilled by amazon. I bought some ultra low profile grease zerks and was going to get them on amazon but it ended up being the same cost direct from the sellers website without tax. Ended up working out better for me anyway as I was able to snag a 10.00 off code from the site direct. Grabbed a magnetic parts tray as well and ended up paying 1.32 for the zerks and 66 cents for the tray plus five bucks shipping.

Any chance you still have the link to that website?

https://www.speedwaymotors.com/

Scroll down to the bottom and put an email address in and sign up for their newsletter and get a 10.00 off code.

The grease zerks are https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Low-Profile-Grease-Zerks,43142.html

The greaseable sway bar end links I have on my truck are too close to the lower control arm to leave the regular zerks in. These ones are about the same size as the plugs I put in after greasing them.
