That guy could use some barn cats, but his way is a lot more fun.
Just using googlefu I would suggest 850 FPS with a .177 bb/pellet or 700 with a .22 pellet.
Found this on Academy. $90 bucks and gets around 1000+ fps. Only draw back is it is pellet only, but those would work better anyway.

That must have been a fun night
At last count, I’m up to 15 of the nasty things. Sitting patiently and oh so cciquietly right now waiting for one to poke his beady eyed little rat bastage head out from behind a small bush by the back fence to chow down, however briefly, on some bird seed that has hit the ground from the bird feeder. He’ll never know what hit him. Pop. Flop. Drop.

Which rifle did you decide on?
I just went to my local Walmart and all they had was this daisy pump so I bought it. Holds like 100 bb’s but just 1 pellet at a time. It’s just okay...but not the most powerful. I’m gettin them though.
