I thought the good ones were going to auction.There are reports that a large majority of the pistols were arsenal rebuilds that went directly to storage. There are definitely unissued Anniston rebuilt guns from the 70's among the 8000, but how many is anyone's guess. I honestly don't care if the pistol is remotely correct or not as long as it is serviceable. If I were to have my pick, I'd likely opt for one of the minty Anniston rebuilds . What I wouldn't want is a 1911 (rather than an A1) with a non-heat treated slide. I am assuming that there may be a few 1911's and WWII refurbished 1911's in the mix.
