It's a dog and pony show during these nomination hearings. This parody brings out the funny side of how sanctimonious those idiots we elect act.
The US congress has effectively neutered itself over the years by creating agency's to do their legislative work while they figure out how to sit on these panels and say what they can to get re-elected. Getting re-elected is the most important part of their lives and when they spout lies or misconstrue the truth, you ask yourself why because they are surely smart enough to fact check themselves in their prepared rants.
I heard an interesting comment on that today. They do this because their base will never fact check them. Feinstein or Pelosi's base will never go to another media source to fact check anything. I suppose some from the other side does the same, but voters should look at both sides.

Which is the reason why term limits need to be put into place. The dog and pony show ends no matter what at a certain point. That and base their income on what the average american citizen earns. They get the average citizen's income up they then effectively get a pay raise.

I agree with term limits but to do that they'd have to vote the bill in and congress will NEVER do that. Congress is the most worthless grouping of human flesh on earth and consistently have to appear before a microphone telling us what they've done or going to do when in fact, they've done nothing and intend to do nothing. They have enacted such low standards that they consistently meet the standards with amazing success. They rank alongside used car salesmen and I don't mean to offend any good salesmen on here-at least you're working.

Actually, Congress did vote in term limits back in the '90's with Bill Clinton. And, Clinton signed it. However, the Supreme Court determined it to be unconstitutional because it prevented citizens from voting for an incumbent that they might want to keep. If term limits is to come about, it will have to be in the forum of an amendment to the Constitution.

And we don't want another Constitutional Convention.
