US Post Office Money Orders are great - they can authenticate them quickly even if they don't have enough cash on hand to pay you. But you know right away if they are good or not. He's not paying with a cashiers check or money order is he?
This. It seems to me that Washington added some goofy gun laws in the last couple of years.Shipping across state lines requires an FFL. Make sure the configuration is right for the receiving state - mag capacity, etc. The local FFL you are shipping to can help you.
You can ship directly to an FFL from the post office if it’s a long gun
DO NOT USE FEDEX!!! Their new policy is all guns go overnight, I just sent my rifle to IWI (Tavor), and it cost $210! Contact the receiving FFL to see what they require. My FFL in WA wanted a copy of my brothers ID, and an invoice for the price. The recipient is going to have to pay a "use tax". Long guns are not required to be sent overnight. When Tavor sent my rifle back it took a week.
