How do you know when it goes pending? Will they tell you when you call that it went on a certain date?

Yes. They will tell you it is pending, approved, in a problem status or it is not in the system yet.

Last time I just didn't bother, and one day about 6 months later the dealer called and had the stamp.

I usually call about 5 to 6 months in and once a month from then on. They're always nice.

Well, I said they were always nice, but I just called to check the status on mine and the girl seemed irritated to get the call.

Im at 5 months and havent called. I called once on a can about 5 years ago and had the same experience stated above.

I called once a week when I hit the 6 month mark... Every time same story, pending... Till today! Check cashed Feb 26, approved Sept 11. My first can, can't wait to get the call to pick it up!

I called again last week and the woman I spoke with was pretty professional. Answered all my questions, checked on a few things for me and confirmed something I heard about how to expedite a F1/F4 Individual/Trust for LEO. I'm at 150 days today.
