Well, what is the equipment hanging off the forearm to rephrase it. Inquiring minds want to know.
Edit: shooting at 900 yards is long range for most.

Yeah but that was definitely just me stretching it out to see what it was capable of. I mostly hunt hogs and white tail with it inside 300 yards.

I few years ago I took a two day rifle class from Gordy Getters. On the second day 12 of us had a little informal match. Our target was a bowling pin at 800 yds. Then it turned into the bottom of a bowling pin after it blew over . Three judges with spotting scopes did the scoring . They watched the pin as we all shot and determined who hit it the most or was closest the most. I took third with a Rem. 700 PLT .308 with a 20" barrel mounted in an A.I. chassis with a Burris tactical scope. I also had my .30 cal can screwed on . I could see my hits in the dirt. It looked like I had a 3" to 4" group. I was pleased with the short barreled rifle.

I was shooting on a clear pipeline that had hills up and down and the wind was blowing.
Could not hit the pile of rocks at 700+ yards. walked to the pile and wind hit us in the face at the first 100 yards then from the side from both directions then nearing the top of the hill the wind was at our backs and blowing to the right.
Dang winds rolling over mountains.(tall hills really).

Shooting 30-06 22" barrel at 3030 fps 150gr flat base .338 BC and .308 24" barrel with 165 game king HPBT at 2780 fps. .363 BC.

Both guns would shoot exactly the same as far as hits were concerned. usually falt land at 500 yards both would stay just under 5" groups.
Forget it when winds picked up and you could not see them and they were from all directions.

I would think something much faster or much heavier could have bucked the issues better.
Think 220 gr at 2800fps :)

Went 14/15 with my Larue OBR, 16.1" bbl, shooting M118LR at 1400 yds, at GPS Defense, shooting at IPSC steels. Nightforce BEAST 5-25x56 w/H59 reticle. 1100ft elevation, temps in the mid 80's, half value 5-10 mph winds.

That was 100% a factor of having a spotter that is a wizard at calling wind. As someone above mentioned, shooting at long range is easy. Figuring the data, and reading the wind are the hard parts.
