Well I paid $5 to get in the door, the upstairs flea market was worth about $4.....the gun show downstairs was worth about $.02. First show I've been to in OKC in years and will probably be the last for awhile.

Was this at the old Crossroads Mall? Buchanan’s used to have what they called an antique show at the fairgrounds.

I heard they started having a gun/antique show, but I quit going to shows at the fairgrounds when they started talking about charging for parking for weekend events. I’ve seen some ads about another gun show somewhere on south Meridian.

That’s just another ‘Clod’ hall show. I work with his SIL. He tells me it’s a dirt floor facility but they do it because it costs less than the fairgrounds.

If I'm going to waste money on a gunshow in okc it will be at Buchanan's, not any of the ripoff's at the fairgrounds. Rather spend $5 and maybe stumble across a deal than $12-$14 and know I will not get anything close to a bargain there. I'm to the point now where I'm going to save my money for Tulsa twice a year and stay away from any of the "BIG'' gunshows at the fairgrounds.

I’m familiar with Claude. Before I retired, I had to inspect what my office called “special events”. Basically anything that wasn’t a regular daily business and open to the public. Claude, Diener and Metcalf were the regular gunshow vendors. Claude was the only one I ever had problems with. Buchanan only had the antique show while at the fairgrounds.

The fairgrounds is more expensive. You should see the permits and licensing during the fair that every vendor is required to go through before they are allowed to do business. I used to wonder why it was so expensive to go to the fair. Now I know why. PURE GREED.

The Buchanan show have gradually grown each show. Most of the problem seems to be us badmouthing them. He charges $10 for tables, and talking with some of the various sellers, they do a pretty fair business. I go often, and have made a few good purchases, and have always been glad that I went. Besides, what else can you do on a Saturday morning, in OKC, for $5?
