It's more than preference, it's marketing and getting a piece of the tupperware gun pie.

In a world where we have the perfection of Glock, why in the world would anyone settle for something 'like' a Glock.

There are several gun platforms that are "better" in terms of preferences. If you like a better stock trigger, sights and ergos that is. Then in terms of large frame Glocks..... there was the whole FTRB issue. Naturally, they got "perfection" down after a few upgrades lol. Per usual.

Sootch should have broke the gun down and showed the internals, what is the chamber support and such. Like his reviews with that exception!
Love the way my Glock 20 fits my hand but my son hates it, says it is to fat, so this gun would be very interesting for him!!

Oh wait , don't we hate Springfield for some reason or another ?:yikes2::cool:

The firearms blog shown the internals in their review. The chamber is fully supported and the grip width is 1.2” unlike the 40sw (1.18”) & the 45acp (1.26”)

The 10mm XDM came in today, hopefully I'll have some time this weekend to try it out.

Decided to go for the 4.5" model because I wanted a gun less prone to breaking something for backcountry purposes. I've never been a fan of adjustable rear sights for rugged use. Not only that, but its only 3/4" longer...not that much of a difference for the size and holster availability.

And my free (3) 15 round mags are on their way for Springfield Armory! What a great freebie...lol

Let us know how it handles full power 10mm rounds.
