Retriever man, do you usually have a decent amount of shooters on camera by now? On our place last year we had 3/4 by Nov 1st and this year we don’t have one. Garfield county is where we are at. Deft a lot more rain this year, so we are thinking they big bucks aren’t having to roam much like last year.

I usually have a decent number of “mature” bucks on camera, but right now, I don’t have one. I’ve got a couple bucks with a decent racks, but they look young. Due to the flood, I don’t have cameras at my two best spots right now, so that could be the problem.

I'm having the same issue. Lots of dinks, but nothing mature.

I'm hearing this from a lot of people right now. I bet that changes real quick though with this cold.

All the mature bucks I had in September are gone since the middle of October
That's when 2 of my mature bucks became photogenic. I know there's more around, but I've failed to find them. I'm sure the rut will throw it all in a blender anyway and it'll just boil down to being near the does, which I think I have figured out.

We just got back from an out of state Deer hunt and we managed to kill a couple of good bucks.

Not bad, for public land DIY hunt.
Here’s my buddy’s buck.
