How so? Northwestern is 8-4, Ohio State is 11-1. I can't see a path over OU. IF OSU wins (likely, they're up nicely early) they'll both be at 12-1. OSU will have gotten there by beating an inferior team to the team that OU beat. :anyone:
Who did norhwestern lose to? Notre Dame, Michigan, they played competitive games.....who did Texas lose to ?

Maryland, OK State, West Va........Texas beat Tulsa by 1 score, Texas beat K State by 1 score, Texas Tech by 1 score, Kansas by 1 score......it’s not as though Texas left scorched earth after hey won the RRR? Texas strength of schedule isn’t any better than OU’s ......

Ohio State is making a compelling case right now against a pretty good Northwestern team.but hey did lose to Purdue of all people ......FFS!

I don’t think they jumP OU but it’s not a simple as it looks .....they are definitely playing their best football right now.

Well NW is still ranked #21 right now (before they lose). How was Texas ranked so much higher?

Just think of all the angst if Georgia had won. Honestly they need 8 teams in the playoffs. A lot more questions would get answered.

Yeah, I wanted bama to lose. That would have thrown a total wrench into the works.

IMO, in order for the Buckeyes to be placed higher than the Oklahoma Premature Ejaculators they need to beat Northwestern worse than they beat Michigan. At this point that's not happening.

Also IMO, Murray should get the Heisman
At the half, Ohio State is up 24-7. Not quite what the Michigan game looked like, but still a respectable half.

It could be an interesting day...for Chinese values of interesting.

OU lost in the regular season to Texas on a last second field goal after OU came back from 20 points down to tie the game in the fourth quarter, then beat the team that beat them (Texas) in the conference championship game. Ohio State was pounded by Purdue. There is no playoff case to be made for Ohio State.

Honestly I did too. Can't stand Sabin and Georgia was the better team on the field until Tua's own lineman took him out. Jalen came in and cleaned house. It's good for OU but I'd rather have seen the dawgs win on any other day.

Tua's injury and his inability to move the offense in three quarters probably assured the Heisman to Murray.
