Here's one ive been tinkering with, but it's a slow process. I'm taking a surplus shovel (5$) and trying to turn it into an crazy beaver/murder spork shovel. It's a pain because I don't want to use a cut off wheel or dremmel and get it so hot it looses its temper. When I'm done It will be a fine tool in the jeep.
In my opinion....a cutoff wheel in a grinder would make the cut fast enough that heat wouldn't be an issue. Sawzall would be my next pick. Then jigsaw. But, nothin will give you a sense of accomplishment like the good ol hacksaw.

Its been a while in the works (lack of time to play with it) but here is version 1.3 of the remote annunciator I've put together thus far. It tells me the status of my diesel generator and allows me to send commands to the controller (start, stop, test, transfer...). it houses the circuitry to manage a couple of 100A CT's to measure the output current and read the fuel level. The buttons are RGB lit and illuminate the color of the corresponding status (red is stopped. Solid green is starting and a green heartbeat when it sees output from the head

I already have version 1.4 in my head which will probably be the final one. (serial communication between multiple units and house the atmel chip directly in lieu of a nano arduino

I use to live on a pond with families of beavers. I know this need well. My neighbor and those beavers gave us a good story to tell years later when we heard gun shots behind our house at 1am! He was fed up when they came for his fence apparently.

I’m working on a pantry door. It’s made from a 100 year old hotel door. I had to cut it down to fit the existing opening in my kitchen, strip off all the old finish, and bust out the top wood panel so that I can insert glass. It’s hung now. Just need to router the hole and get a piece of glass to fit.
