Sometimes you just run into a better team, and Bama was the better team tonight.

Bama was the better team for the 1st quarter, then OU woke up. Unfortunately I couldn't watch the game. Had a very bad week at work and my stress levels were way to high. I missed the first 30 minutes and when I did start watching I could feel the stress from the week kicking in. Instead I watched a movie while keeping tabs. I'm glad they made a game out of it, just wish I could have watched.

Just as I predicted. Really wanted them to win but that was ugly, especially the first half. I think OU is lucky to get out of there with only a loss of 11 points. After these games today it looks like OU and ND had no business being in these two semifinal games.

I agree but I think Georgia is the only other team that could compete with those 2.

Congratulations Alabama for the win. Props go out to them for being such a dominating team.

Also congratulations to our Oklahoma Sooners for playing so hard and make a really good game out of it in the second half.
OU scored more points on Alabama than any other team this year. Including all of the SEC teams Alabama played this year. They got a really slow start and finally made a game out of it. Yes we lost but I give OU props for playing really good against the best team in the county. It will be interesting next Monday in the National Championship game. I predict Alabama will beat Clemson but it should be a really good game.

If I were OU, I would be wishing it was best 2 out of 3. Other than the first quarter, OU handles them and won the other 3 quarters easily. Of course all 4 quarters makes a game and Bama deserves to win, but if I were a player or coach for OU, I couldn’t help but think if they played again the outcome could easily be in OU’s favor.

At least Alabama didn’t cover the spread. One thing I can say is despite how bad we played we still only lost by 11. If we hadn’t gotten down so far in the first half we may have been able to win or at least only lose by a few. The players we have on defense our a disgrace. The number one being Bolton. He ran his ignorant mouth and got made look like a fool. Alabama is a juggernaut plain and simple. I think the OU coaches need to learn how to recognize talent and stop recruiting based on the number of stars next to a guys name. We have several 5 star players that suck. And sometimes I just don’t get our coaches and the dumb decisions they make. We were playing our corners 12 yards off the whole game. We wouldn’t make any adjustments. And Murray flat sucked it up. He couldn’t throw and is too big a wimp to run without being afraid of getting hit. Just look at Alabama’s running back. He was from Tulsa. He is unbelievable and we didn’t even give him a look. He sure made us pay for that. I’ve looked at the commits we got and there appear to be some good ones but as usual most of the defensive players we got are small. If we can’t get some big and physical linebackers and dbacks we won’t ever be able to finish these big games. I cannot even believe how big and physical the Alabama guys are. One things certain whether you love him or hate him Nick Saban is the best college coach ever in my books. And I’m as big an OU fan as they get. Not just a bandwagon fan. I have stuck by our team through Gary Gibbs all the way till now. That’s a lot of years of us sucking. I remember going to camp up there when John Blake was the coach. It was a joke how bad it was ran. But coach Blake was a really nice guy.

It was actually 2.5 quarters, but yes, you are correct.

It would have been a far different game if Hollywood hadn't been hurt and Kyler would have just played ball from the start. Into the 3rd quarter he was over analyzing the 'Bama defense, changing plays, and using every second on the play clock. He was out of sorts. That TD pass in the 2nd qtr was the Kyler we've watched all season long, except for the first Texas game when he was doing the same over analyzing and we lost. He threw that TD ball on a straight away, full-on run and it was in the air for 55 yards.

Hollywood was still hurt. He could't run, couldn't catch and couldn't block. He was a liability out there tonight and that was a 1st for the season. Hated to see it. He's so fun to watch.

The defense surprised me. Trey Brown played pretty well, that TD in the endzone really wasn't and that play couldn't have been covered any better by anyone. He was right there in the guys face and his arm was right between the receiver's. Motley got jucked bad once and they were lit up from the start just like I figured they would be. But they did A LOT better against the run than I thought they would until late when they were out of gas.

For those saying OU didn't deserve to be there, I'd remind them that they've lost the last two years playoff games. By a total of 17 points COMBINED.
