A handgun is my weapon of choice inside the house.

There may or may not be more than one in the bedroom...

I would never use a long gun to clear a home. The first thing a defensive trainer will tell you is to grab the barrel as they come around the corner and then you have control.
If I saw someone peeking around a corner of a sheetrock wall, that wall would become swiss cheese.

IIRC, way back approx 13 years ago, someone on here also mentioned having your first two fires to be birdshot, in case you needed a deterrent before the whammy shells were fired. Would love to hear some input on that, since it may or may not be something I still do...

Frankly, if you're highly trained and all things being equal, you probably would be better off with a pistol. I think I'll stick with unwieldly guns that I've been killing things all my life with.

"I see light" The M18A1 Claymore Mine at the end of the hall is initiated, effectively eliminating any and all soft skin targets within a 60 deg arc at a distance of 50m and a height of 6.5 ft.
"Front Toward Enemy"
I have a buddy that has a simulated claymore as an insert to his receiver hitch to discourage tailgaters.
