Imma ask him if he grabbed the morning paper on his way in, tell him not to worry about the broken glass and offer him a PBR and a biscuit.
While Timmy calls 911 from the bathroom cause he schit his draws...

As soon we heard the noise, my gf would do a back flip over me as I rolled to her side of the bed. I would pluck the throwing knife out of the scabbard on that side, and spring to the door, flinging the knife around the corner. Bad Guy No. 1 would go down immediately. Next, I would dash down the hallway while my gf came up behind me with a baton. Upon reaching the next corner, I would grab her free hand and swing her around so she could sprint up the next wall to the ceiling, delivering several good swats to Bad Guys No. 2 and 3, both of whom would lie down for good. As she came down the opposite wall, I would be diving for the Hi Point .22 Bad Guy No. 3 had, and I would scoop it up and plug Bad Guy No. 4 right in the left eye. Gotta remember the poor terminal performance of those .22 rounds at distance, you know.

Next, I would make coffee for my gf while she dialed the police non-emergency number to come tag and bag ‘em.

1. AR with Surefire Scout, .223
2. 64gr Speer GD
3. Cruiser ready/3
4. If I leave my bedroom, no; if I stay yes, G19 w/XC1 and loaded w/ 124gr Speer GD, 0

The layout of my house would leave me in an advantageous position. I'd stand offset of bedroom door waiting while wife goes into our bathroom to call the troops. She knows to tell them who I am, what I'm carrying, and where I'm at.

I don't clear the house because there's nothing important in the other half.

Dale, I'm far from any kind of professional but in most of the "plans" above folks are defending their position and most of those that are mentioned the "summitch" will be backlit or silhouetted. If you are shining a light you're giving your position. Now, if it's total darkness or if I'm taking the fight to the sommitch, I'd want a light. This is purely the opinion of me!

@swampratt I assume a BUG = Back Up Gun. Now is that an extry gun or one that talks a summitch into backing up? Lol

Exactly why we have the motion detector night light in the hall, well and not to step on small dark colored dogs at night. It is an LED light we got at Walmart. Enough light to see but not bright enough to blind you.

My home is set up with a fatal funnel leading to the master bedroom. The house has strategically placed night lights, so an intruder will throw a shadow in front of them, while they will be facing a darkened entry and bedroom. I will grab the G21 loaded with 18 rounds of 230gr Gold Dot, with night sights and a Surefire X300 with DG switch. There are two spare 17 round mags also loaded with 230gr GD's. While I barricade up at a corner, the wife will be grabbing her Shield 9mm with light/laser and calling 911, barricaded behind the heavy solid wood sleigh bed.

When the intruder reaches the end of the hallway, they'll be faced with a choice of going left or right. I'll be waiting on the right, which will put a right handed intruder at a disadvantage coming around a right corner. I also know exactly what isn't behind the corner he's coming around and where to aim on the wall to clear the studs and shoot through the sheet rock, should he attempt to use that corner for cover. I also have the option of moving deeper into cover on my right should incoming fire become an issue. I have two more corners I can use for a tactical retreat before being in a last ditch defensive position, where a 14.5" AR loaded with 62gr Mk318 Mod 0 SOST barrier blind ammo is located in a closet, which wears a Surefire M600 light.

If they get through all that, they can have whatever is left intact in the home. :)

Birdshot, aim for the face...

Didn’t Dick Cheney shoot his hunting buddy in the face with birdshot?

Nah, I don’t want some thug dancin’ around my house screaming “My Eyes! My Eyes!”
So it’s #4 buck and above for me. I don’t like dancin’ anyway.

My house is small enough, a gunshot to an intruders head would be 10-12 feet away, so a head shot is gonna daylight the back of that head and make a real mess lol Cheaney shot that dude from more like 30 yards or more.
