Heading to Gunsite Next Month

Well after two years of trying to go to Thunder Ranch that trip fell through. However we shifted our focus to Gunsite Academy and it's a go for next month. Wife and I are very much looking forward to the experience. I have not had any formal training outside NRA stuff in 15 years and am hoping for good weather and good training. Folks had told us the cost was really high but looking at per hour rates here in Oklahoma it works out to about the same dollar rate.

I made the pilgrimage in October. Yes, the price of admission is sporty, but the facilities are far beyond a regular square range. Plus, you get the history of the place.

I have been a 1911 fan since I started reading the Coopers Column at the back of I believe it was guns and ammo
