Which science??? LOL .....so much long standing science has been proven wrong it’s scary (particularly health care)
Science is a method and process of gathering information to determine legitimacy of facts by repeatable results. It's a tool, not a data point.

It is self-correcting but sometimes this takes a long time. Truth eventually emerges though experimentation.Yep. Shame it's so frequently misused.
A big part of the problem is that lots of people wave the science flag as a way of bolstering their claims. Some things cannot be tested through experimentation and scientists make "educated" guesses (or even "SWAGs")....this is problematic...it is not really science imo if no experimental verification is possible. Modelling is not real science imo either - it is based on too many possibily incorrect assumptions and the modelers keep make making little changes whenever their beloved models don't quite predict correctly..."This time it's fixed for sure".
Can entire scientific disciplines (or self-proclaimed scientific disciplines) be hijacked for social justice causes? yes.

Kind of like the entire premise of global warming was based on computer models that can be altered and have?
Not to mention only bases on recorded history which is a fraction of what has really happened. And as far as solar output we have even less data, like maybe 50 years worth if we are lucky.
