First day of class done. Many plastic wonder nine shooters were amazed how well my "old" gun shot. I started out so nervous trying to learn the different stance they want us to use. 300 rounds later my old Nighthawk was the unit to beat. Fun to have folks in the loading shed commenting about how well it shot. I am loving it but the drills get more intense tommorow. Have to see how it goes.

Day two was a lot of material thrown at us. Between my wife and I we have fired off 1350 rounds in two days. Instructors are throwing more than the regular curriculum at as they said our class had a high initial skill level and we were able to spend way less time on safety and basic instruction. The head shot at 3 yards from the holster at 1.5 seconds is hard. I shot my target frame apart hitting it as it turned away. I won the one and done steel shoot as the only guy who made it to 35 yards. Missed at 35 in the wind. The moving and being struck by the instructors while shooting was eye opening. For whatever reason on mag changes they just shoved pulled and jerked on me.

Well day three round count hit 1000 rounds each for wife and I. El Presidente drills. Night shoot and barracades were todays fare. Lots of mind games to confuse us during movement. Lots of yelling and calling out problems really got the heart rate up.

Do you normally stand with both feet exactly square to the target?
I think most instructors are different. Power isosceles stance vs weaver stance.
Lesser known Chapman and Powerpoint are taught much less.
With the Weaver, you do expose parts of the body not covered with body armor, but a smaller target.
The fighting stance is currently the most taught now if I'm not wrong.
The shooter is square to the target. His feet are shoulder width or slightly wider and the firing side foot is slightly behind the support side foot.
