I'm hoping someone will recognize these people from the description... I believe they are from the OKC area.

I used to see a couple at all the gun shows, made custom leather holsters, usually had 3-4 dozen "samples" at their booth. I think I saw them at every gun show in Tulsa up until the last one, looked for them but couldn't find them there. I had their card at one time but lost it, and I'm pretty sure they were from OKC. I looked up their website once, but a while back and don't have the link. Best I remember, looked like they were probably hispanic. Maybe in their 40's, or possiby 50's? Been a while, so that could be off.

They made holsters from all kinds of exotic leathers. Looked like very good quality. Best I remember, most were at or a little over the $100 mark.

Kind of a long shot I know, but wondering if anyone might know who they are... I think I could recognize the website if I found it again, but Google hasn't helped so far.

For some reason, the name Kilcho or Wilcho leatherworks or something like that sticks in my head. Both had dark hair and maybe Native American?

Thank you! I think that was close enough for me to find them, I believe this is the website... a little more expensive than I remembered though... especially for the exotic leathers.

I visited with them a couple times. I thought the prices on the exotic stuff was reasonable too.

I sure hope I don't sound to rude but they should pull some of those pictures down in my opinion. They've got some neat patterns that were very poorly stitched and edged. It's weird because some of their stitching and edging is really nice. Either they improved their skills as they progressed and didn't update their images or they have no quality control. If I'm gonna ask $250 for a holster I'm dang sure gonna post my best work. This is just my opinion of constructive criticism.

I had them make me a holster a couple of years ago.I was at the wanenmacher and D.M. Bullard wasn't there so I decided to buy an owb from them.I received it 3 weeks later and the belt slots were off and the stitching was crap.Just my experience with them but I wished I would have waited and bought online from Bullard for $15.00 more.

I ran into one of these Wicho fellas a year or so ago at Tandy Leather here in OKC. I don’t recall exactly why I needed a certain type of fastener but Tandy didn’t have any on hand. Mr. Wicho overheard the conversation and said he had what I was looking for in this vehicle outside. This led to a discussion on holster making...anyway he gave me the fasteners I was looking for and would not let me pay him for them. Seemed like a nice guy.

From the pictures I saw on the linked website, my advice is to run. Most don’t even allow a full firing grip for a good draw.

Many of the exotic materials are better left as trim on a good leather holster.

Tim Thurner builds some nice affordable leather holsters that work and usually has some exotic trim options.

Start with function over fashion!
