Update on fitness:
Went on a walk today and discovered there's no way I can carry and work out. Ha. Heck I can't even do it walking.
Did get to set a water mark of 1,000 yds distance. Pace was .056 but that's ok. Plan on moving up to 1,200 yds in 2 weeks and increase 200 yds every two weeks until I reach 1,800 (touch over a mile). Then increase pace till I set another goal.
It'll take time, but you'll be back. Just stay pissed about it, but not too pissed. You know what I mean.

Glad to hear you are still working on kicking life's tail end. I suspect that given time, you will be back up to snuff and being yourself. Prayers are continuing.
Thanks Terry. 7 setbacks but today got a push. Breaking even is not bad in my books. Went to DR. appointment and x-ray showed no leaking even though the area where the lung was removed has not filled more. I'll take it.
Thanks again Terry. You're a good man and whatever you need you got.

As I mentioned earlier, I had an even Steven on my Dr. report today. Best news I've had since November. Didn't even attempt to open carry at the Hospital. Not sure the policies and didn't ask. I need these people and don't want to screw with their lives.
However, we did stop at a shell station (p), Loves and had wife stopped to eat at Braums with no problem. Uncomfortable as hell when your jeans are falling off of you. I look pathetic. Skin just hanging off the bone.

As I remember, you didn't have a lot of excess skin anyway. Glad your getting out and on the mend. Good news today. I'll bet your more optimistic now.

Sorry for the confusion but I'm going with open carry as I've mostly concealed carry. Today was a good day. Where I get my hair cut was funny because she liked the leather too. Then she pulled out her glock with the red laser. COOL.
After I went to Walmart and expected to have a problem. Went to every department (except ladies) and no odd looks or comments.
Glad to get home to my pain pills but I intend to try out the same setup at home till I get a real feel for it, then move on.
Walmart generally is an open carry friendly place--except for some of the customers. I was showing a customer a shotgun a few weeks ago when I noticed a guy give us the stink-eye. I chuckled to myself when he turned so I could see his back and I spotted the manbun on the back of his head. It got me to wondering--is the manbun actually a cushion for when the wearer gets knocked flat on his ass?

Anyway, I'll be following this thread as I'll have my own challenges with carrying, though nowhere near as great as yours. Thank you for sharing your journey, steelfingers. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
