I have a 2010 Ridgeback, one of "six or seven" Bill made with a partially serrated edge. I've used it quite a lot and it still looks like new. Coye knives were made to be used, not collected.

Ef9 thanks for the pics. Very nice knife! Sorta has a resemblance to the Nimravus. No idea of it’s worth, but gotta be several hundred at least I would think.
I’ll starting the bidding for ya: $1! :hypnotize:

LOL, they were like 2-300 new. I honestly think the value of these to the normal person isn't much more than what they were new, but I think to someone who knows anything about Coye and the very limited made, it could be worth quite a bit more.

I agree, they were made to be used. I just have no reason to use the AE. I do occasionally carry the RB though. It's still has the original edge, which is sharp enough to cut, but not as sharp as new. I wanted to throw my RB on my outer carrier, but my admin totally frowned against it when I slapped it on one day :P

I'm friends with Bill's son. I actually was invited to the shop once years ago to watch Bill finish off a knife he was making me. To my knowledge he is still making knives. I purchased a forerunner (the modern day ridgeback) from him about a year ago. I think he just has his books closed due to having plenty of business from referrals I'm assuming. Great guy with a great product. He charges around 300 for a forerunner so I'm assuming that bigger blade would be closer to 400 or 500 if he was to make one today. The whiskeys, his folding knives, are the ones that really seem to command a high price tag.
