Been waiting well over 100 days just to find out that my application is still at the Craig County office waiting a signature. OSBI sent it back to them on 12/19/2018 to be signed. I called them and they didn't even ask my name just kept saying "we sent it" and didn't bother to look for it. Unsatisfied, I went to the Sheriff's office and told them what was going on, same thing, "we sent it" without even looking to see where they misplaced it. Misplacing it is one thing but to not even get out of their chair to look is crap. I did everything I was supposed to do, just wish everyone else would do the same, i should already have my license.

Here's what I would do, if I were in your shoes:
If you have not already done so, write or email OSBI so you can get their reply in writng: "We have not received your application"
Send an email or letter to the Sheriff explaining that you submitted your application to them on <date> and OSBI has not recieved it. Attached the written reply from OSBI.
Give the Sheriff an month to reply.
If you do not have a reply from him, Contact OSBI again to see if they have the application. If they still do not, write a letter or email to your County Commissioner, attaching everything you sent to the Sheriff.

DontD hate me but I got an Arizona permit within 2 weeks of the date I submitted it. But, it was a 3 hour class and did not require shooting. Now, I do want to get more thourogh instruction before I start carrying.

Agree. Start shooting steel challenge and when you get to the point where you are doing pretty well start running USPSA it will be a lot better training than any SDA class out there as far as the shooting portion of it all goes. You get to the point of running in the middle of the pack in either and you will likely outshoot most officers currently on the street.

OSBI got ahold of them then all of a sudden the office found the application after sitting on their desk for over 3 months. OSBI has been helpful and have been responding to my emails, the Sheriff's department on the other hand have failed three times and counting...1-didn't sign the application before mailing to OSBI. 2-lost the application after getting it back from OSBI. 3-would not look for the application after a phone call and showing up in person showing emails of OSBI sending it back months ago, didn't even ask my name just said "we sent it" which I knew wasn't true. I have no training in the field but common sense tells me I would have ask the person's name then at least get up and see if I could locate the app somewhere. My 90 day wait is looking more like over 6 months, hopefully nothing happens to my children or myself during this time. Had it been a warrant for my arrest it would have never been misplaced or lost. We need people that seem to care and that take pride in their performance when it comes to serving the community.

I bypassed the bogged down permit system here by getting an Arizona permit that Oklahoma recognises.

Lower cost and shorter wait.

It will be interesting to see how things are handled once permitless carry is in place.
