Not as a pocket pistol. If you can pocket one that is.

I normally carry mine in an IWB holster, but during our little cold snap I found it carrys well in a coat pocket when I’m in the backyard with my dogs when they’re fertilizing the grass.

Interesting; I broke mine down for cleaning prior to until range trip and saw it has the (-) connector. My trigger is breaking at just under 5 lbs on my gauge. Not bad for a Glock Trigger, I kinda like it. Now, to see how it shoots.

Took the 48 out again after carrying it for the past few weeks. All the lint was getting noticable so I figured it was time to shake it off and make sure it works with the lint/lube mixture.
She ran. No problems whatsoever.
I'm definitely still not a Glock fanboy, but I do like this model.

How does it compare to the M&P 2.0 compact you were looking at, at one time?

I've only put 10 rounds through an M&P 2.0 compact so I don't have a lot of skin in that game, but compared to my Ruger Security 9 (same specs as 2.0 compact & G-19) I'd say the felt recoil is less with the wider guns but the ability to carry with confidence that I'm not printing is definitely better with the 48.
The weight is also quite a bit different. Carrying at work where I'm constantly lifting, climbing, kneeling, bending, etc. I'm not having to shift the gun or belt even half as much with the 48
And while driving, there have been several times that I've checked to make sure it was still on my side because I felt too comfortable and thought i may have lost it. The holster has a lot to do with that though.

Glock hit a home run with this model for sure.
Now when S&W comes out with a competing M&P, well I may change my mind. Who knows.

Ya gotta love the firearms manufacturers for sure. Always trying to one-up the other guys and the results are that we, the gun buying public, get a lot more choices. And a lot poorer.

No thanks. I'll stick with my M&P's , Kimbers and Kahrs. I can't stand the grip angle on a glock. It's inconsistent with any other pistol I shoot, and I'm all for constincancy in whatever I may have to grab in the middle of the night.

I likes me some constantityity too.
