How long is the wait for a tax stamp for a suppressor?
My first (4 years ago) was 6 months. It’s was supposed to speed up with new electronic format but the one I ordered 2 years ago, took a year. My SBR did the same.
I talked to them today and the guy advised 9 months for approval. I also was advised by silencer shop that once approved it could take 1 month to receive the stamp. I was asking for a friend. 
From what I'm seeing, it's looking more like 11 months after the .gov shutdown coupled with the ATF Dist. Center move.
I sure hope I'm wrong, I'm 8 months into the wait on a 458 can...

I took the Silencer shop advice and "forgot I ordered one" so I don't lose sleep over when it's gonna get here. I did the single owner and not the trust which is supposed to be quicker, but who knows?
Pretty sad when you can call the FBI and get cleared to own a deadly weapon in just minutes with a minimum amount of information and it takes up to a year with full documentation and fingerprints to get a metal tube with baffles that is not a lethal device.

I have a customer that had 7 months wait and many at 11. Plan on a year, forget you bought it and it will show up some day. Over Christmas 2018 I sold several and I told everyone that bought that they would have something to be Thankful for or something in their stocking.
I did one on a Trust and got it back in just over 5 months (I couldn’t believe it!!!)
I did 2 via individual submitted 9/11/18 and still waiting. It happens when it happens but it’s all still BS.
It makes me want to run for office and attach an amendment repealing the NFA to every Bill that makes it out of committee.
