I was cleaning out some old reloading gear for a woman down the street from me on Sunday...picked up a single stage press that I thought was rusted/locked up, learned pretty quick that it wasn't! Ram got my finger between it and top of frame, thru the fingernail and halfway thru fingertip...local ER pulled nail and sewed it up, went to orthopedic dr in Altus yesterday, now lying in hospital waiting on "fingernail bed" surgery...been around reloading most of my life, one split second of complacency almost lost part of my finger! Be safe folks, no matter how long you've been at it! Resized_20190324_185120_3595.jpeg Resized_20190324_173444_6159.jpeg Resized_20190324_185127_4801.jpeg Resized_20190324_173451_8282.jpeg

It’s amazing how much force/ leverage is produced by a simple press. I’ve come close to smashing my finger just picking one up that’s not mounted.
