I find appendix carry pretty tough to draw from seated in a car. Takes gobs of practice not to sweep yourself with the muzzle during presentation from a seated position. But heck nobody ever gets jumped in their car right?

While not in vogue among the professional gun carrying cadre of current YouTube stars, the Crossbreed Super Tuck is a good holster for not a lot of money. They generally ship quickly.

No i have had my Miata on the range running vehicle drills many times. No problem drawing running the wheel and engaging targets from the seated position using strong side carry. drawing from seated with appendix means muzzle points at my feet and if you do not lift to the wheel before crossing over you muzzle your groin. Try it take your vehicle down to your range setup some targets outside the drivers door and engage them both from seated using both carry methods hard not to see the increased inherent danger of appendix carry during vehicle defense. It's why most top schools teaching vehicle defense will not allow that style of carry.

Agreed it’s not an optimal vehicle carry. But

You say that until you pop a 230 grain HST into your foot and become immobile. Let alone cap your femoral. I never cared much about vehicle defense until an attempted car jacking taking my daughter to school. Also found out not carrying a round in the chamber because i would have time to work the action is a myth

well my flexibility regarding vehicle carry is always the same full size 1911 strong side ISP-OSP depending on clothing and weather. Cross draw Kimber micro 9 just in front of my 1911 mag carriers. Guns not attached to you can't be counted on during vehicle defense

Nope just have had some real world experience working on the rez and brushes with nefarious folks. Many of my strongly held beliefs and training scars were just wrong. Took professional training and lot's of live fire drills to show me i'm nowhere near da man. The most badass dude on earth can die in .90 seconds in an armed encounter.
