BTW, Thanks Blake for this tool recommendation:

https://www.amazon.com/Real-Avid-22...id+pivot+tool&qid=1554758711&s=gateway&sr=8-3

It came in the mail today, 5 minutes later my pivot pin was installed. The hardest part was getting the red pin in (kept missing the tap on the flap part). After that it was 1 2 3 and done. Now waiting on the buffer tube to get here (got a cerakote red to match the other parts) and my lower will be finished. Now to get the barrel, gas block, gas tube, hand guard and comp (going to get a little more aggressive comp than the A2 birdcage due to the echo trigger) to finish it off. Well, and some small things like railed sights, sling, etc.

There are two sizes of buffer tubes. Make sure you get the correct one.

diameters of buffer tubes. One is mil spec, the other is commercial. There is a few thousands inch difference between them and they won't universally fit the buttstock of your choice.
This link will spell out the differences without some long winded explanation from me. Enjoy your build!

Ah, yeah, I remember that now. And yes, these are milspec.

No, buffer tube. Some places list them as rifle vs pistol length. I guess milspec covers the diameter and length. For someone just learning the terms and types it gets a bit confusing when trying to communicate what you are getting.
Gotcha, can’t wait to see what the finished lower looks like. I like the red accents.
