My comment is specific to the comment above in bold and underlined...

...the answer is every time that a gang-banger or other criminal shoots someone else. Granted, they may not carry legally, but they are carrying.

One other point I wonder about, but will have to stumble through the whole thread to check out each video, is whether the YouTube commandos have their YouTube channels "monetized" to where they are making some money off of their content?

I don't post anything to YouTube so I don't know how to tell if one makes money that way. I'm doing good just to watch some excellent videos on YouTube that are informative, entertaining, or educational.

Terry,

What those gang bangers and others who wrongly shoot someone are doing is beyond the scope and intent of the Second Amendment and the bearing of arms. What those people do or have done is to USE those arms illegally. I carry my gun(s) daily and in doing so I have never used those arms illegally. If a gang banger or any other miscreant does not use a weapon illegally, said person(s) is(are) just as not guilty of misusing their arms as I am.

The Second Amendment has no provision to prevent infringement on the use of arms. Holding someone at gunpoint to rob them would be a misuse of a gun and is, no doubt, against the law.

You are either for 100% of 2nd Amendment Rights or you are not. You really want to know what got our country into the position it is in now, Compromising. A lot of people will compromise every one of our Bill of Rights away. You are either for it or against it, there is no in-between.

My take, I don't give two flying ***ks at a rolling donut if these people carry in public or not. If there isn't a law against carrying in the public place then these people do have the right to carry a long gun. Who is wasting the cops precious time, anyone who calls the cops when no threat has been made. Hypocrites are everywhere and come in all shapes, sizes, colors and creeds.

Thanks for posting the video!

It's good to see that even OUPD didn't run hot to that call. I've never had any interactions with them. You blamed this Tim guy for Edmond PD going code 3 and responding with weapons drawn, escalating force and creating a dangerous situation on the roads and in the park. But OUPD and NPD, both well-trained agencies, clearly disagree that running hot to a simple "man with a gun" call is an appropriate response. OUPD even took the time to observe before making contact. So again, why do you blame the man peacefully walking in the park for Edmond PD's unnecessarily-dangerous response? Just because he did something most people disagree with does not mean he is responsible for how everyone else responds.
I believe the difference in their respective responses may have to due with how the call was received. If I read everything correctly, the person who called in Edmond stated that the subject was pointing the firearm at people. I don't believe that occurred with the Norman incident.
A call of person pointing a firearm will absolutely draw a different response from any agency than one without that allegation. Based on my understanding of the call I have to agree with their response.

If this is the same "auditor" I've dealt with he should have video from when he entered the park until he left the park. That's how he usually does it. I'd love to see Edmond request the full unedited video and if the callers statements are false (I'd bet they are, he's a tool but not THAT stupid) see that person charged for misuse of the 911 system.

You should give a flying **** what these idiots are doing, because it makes all gun owners look like they're anxious for a gun fight which further increases the bad stereotypes of gun owners.
These "audits" are ridiculous and in no way help the rights of gun owners.

Pointing would definitely be a different matter and anyone who does that is lucky if they don’t get shot. But I think you’re mixing it up with the guy in Broken Arrow, who got arrested for pointing. Similar incidents, different people.

Oh, because going around and doing something with the expressed intent of having the police called just so you can say "neener neener neener, I'm doing this legally!" is an appropriate use of a right? Sorry, but no. These tools are doing this just for attention, plain and simple. And while doing so they not only make responsible gun owners look bad they are paving the road for leftists to put further restrictions on the 2A. If you can't understand that, well I'm sorry for you. Sitting here shouting "Its his right!" won't do anything to stop people in the middle seeing this as a threat and agreeing with gun grabbers.

Not even going to bother. Obviously you favor his activity so feel smug in your support. Line up 100 people and ask them if they think what he is doing does any good for gun rights and see what kind of answers you get. Speaking for myself, he is an embarrassment to responsible gun owners. Is it you?

Not even going to bother because your biased opinion and self righteousness just isn't enough brain power to win over reasonable experience of a past that completely passed you up so you have no idea. And reasonable judgement that doesn't come from a pompas ass kid like we have seen 100 times in this thread, with almost snowflake resemblance in their young lack of experience of how it used to be perfectly normal AND expected to see any type of gun, long or short, carried in public.
So until you can offer more than inexperience and snowflake behavior and opinion, maybe it's best to just listen.
I find it best to shut up when someone older and wiser talks.
