Results of my first reloads today

Have listed the grain and the MOA but tri pod bit the dust so no chrono data.
Last pic is 40 gr 2 shot. This and the one before, did well and the sweet spot seems more at the top middle of SAAMI

I remember my very first reloads, back 30+ years ago. 9mm, I held the pistol in my off hand (in case it blew up), turned my head away, shielded the side of my head with a board, pulled the trigger.

Seems comical now, but info was much, much harder to come by back then......

Very good! That 39.8 looks promising. The 40.0 might do as well or better ... hard to tell with only two shots. I'd load up some more of both of those and hit the range again! You say you're still not close to Max? You feeling the fever?!?!?!

I agree with 39.8-40.0 and not because they are tight grouping but because they both are in the same area on target just at the top center of the dot.

Look at the other shots like 39 and 39.2 they are off to the right of center and at 39.2 moving slightly left.. not a good node. well not as good as the 39.8-40.
I would say 39.6 could be fatigue or brass issues or the hold on the gun or where the front bag was placed.. cheek position.. thumb on barrel when shooting.. all that stuff will mess up your grouping.

Do not assume just because it groups tight at 100 it will stay that way on out.
I had some .2" groups at 100 and like clock work they stayed under .38" but at 200 yards it was lucky to hit copy paper size target.
After load development shooting only at 200 for testing I found nodes and they held .75MOA out to 500 yards.
They did not look good at 100 yards with 3/4" groups being the norm.

But it would be 3/4" at 200 also then 1.25"-1.50" at 300.

Find the nodes.

Any observations or suggestions, please send them to me. I'm having some issues with my bolt sticking. Not every round but when it sticks I have to jam the heel of my palm to get it to release and a rubber mallet to get the bolt to release and eject. I've been talking with Ruger but this is an odd thing. This happens with the same frequency with my reloads or new ammo. I saw where people suggested using a different brand of ammo. I DON'T THINK SO.
I didn't pick up this gun to be limited on ammo. I only shoot hornady and I don't cheap on anything.
I've cleaned and broke down the complete bolt assembly and pin. Same with the feeder rails and barrel. You have more background on these things than me. What would you do? I'd hate to send back to Ruger because that's a long turn around and I need my gun. What do you suggest? Ruger has asked for the gun to be sent back.

Don't jump to conclusions. By the way, I can't thank all of you guys enough for for the help you have given me.
The value of the information here is crazy high. I hope to see more how to's, reloading tutorials, reviews of projects or just passing on some knowledge.
I know many of the very smart people here have already provided information over and over but how about one more time.
