Yesterday, while on the phone with Mr Smith of Smith and Alexander, I decided to trim my toe nails/talons. I use Klein flush cut side cutters, very sharp and the shrapnel flies a good distance....I cut a tad close, looked and said to myself, that's gonna bleed. I was wrong, it was gusher.

Hobbled to the bathroom to treat it with peroxide and left a blood trail, foot in tub and it looks like someone has been knifed, blood is everywhere. I was thinking tourniquet but didn't have anything to hand, so wrapped it in a wash cloth, hobbled back to recliner, some super glue came to mind,,,couldn't find it, meanwhile i'm bleeding out. Finally got it slowed down and put a glob of neosporin over the wound...cleaned up all the blood best i could, finally found a gigantic bandaid, i didn't know they made them that huge, luckily i found a stash of them.

If toenail bleeding was an olympic sport i'd be a gold medal winner. the real winner will be the local salon that does pedicures, henceforth.

Glad you lived. You may want to invest in some Seki toe nail clippers. Much safer than some linesman cutters or flush cuts. Wont take the whole toe at once. They really are the best finger and toe nail clippers ever. I hate not having a clean smooth flush cut. I tried lots of brands those are the best. They have finger and toe nail clippers.
