Well, I’ll throw my hat in the ring. You’re probably asking yourself, why does this pic go in this thread? This pic made history.

It’s the first time my wife helped me tagging and weighing our calves.

When she opens her 1st gate when we check cattle I’ll post it too. We’ve been married over 25 years so it might be awhile.

Had to build a lid for our water well at the local range. We elected to put it under ground so we wouldn’t need to heat it like an above ground well house. Bought one of those auto welding hoods and I’m impressed. Kept flipping it up after the weld even though didn’t need to. Habits are hard to break.

Auto hoods are the way to go. Especially if you are tacking around or running several beads. Now if I put a normal hood on, I stand there waiting for it to lighten up after I get done welding.

Did you make that angle iron ring or?????

No, I had a ring/roll shop in town roll it for me. I needed it 52 3/4" in diameter and they nailed it. The wonders of CNC technology.

I noticed it had no relief cuts to roll it and I thought to myself " That Dennis is one heck of a fabricator or he has a ring roller!"

I hate working with sheet metal. Kept forgetting to put gloves on when cutting and handling the material and my hands show it.

This is a log splitter I built back in the day. It’s a beast, nothing can stop it. 18 hp Koehler engine with electric start, 6” cylinder with a 2” ram.
