How long have you had? Do you know about how many rounds you have shot with it mounted? I have read also simmons is made by bushnell or its the other way around. I have looked on acadmeny website at what they have and most of the low ends have some iffy reviews. Out of what I have rad and researched, simmons, nikon and bushnell have been good for 22's. I have time to do some more looking around and research before I jump the gun, lol, and buy one.
2A Shooters Supply in Tulsa had some Nikon Buckmaster's a while back for $99. I haven't looked recently to see if any were left. You can get them just about anywhere else for around $130. If you are a member at 2A, I think you get a 10% discount.
The round count on a .22 shouldn't be an issue as there is no recoil. They will get beat up by transferring the gun and such but the gun shouldn't beat them up. The scope in my profile pic is one I got from Amazon, I never mounted it on a gun until I put together that 300 blackout and Needed something to toss on it just to make sure the gun functioned, so I put it on for the first range trip. It zeroed at 100 yds and has held for a couple hundred rounds.....needless to say I left the $40 scope on it. It has a goofy little laser on it but I just leave it off.
Ok so overall, I should be good with a 50 dollar up scope just be careful and don't drop it or beat it up and should be fine for what I am wanting to do. Will keep researching and see what I can find. Going to take my time before I get one, don't want to rush it buy one thats in my budget only to find out its either junk or am not happy with just trying to get personal usage reviews on ones for now.
I agree that you are better off holding out until you can afford better glass. You can get a Nikon Prostaff Rimfire Scope 3X9x40 on Amazon right now for $116.95 with free shipping that should last and will have a clear pic. I have had one, and was happy with it, on a .22 rifle. If you just have to have one right now, then the Simmons Rimfire Scopes are...well, they are okay. They will work, but they will probably soon feel cheap and you will be unhappy and you will just have to either put it on a kid's BB gun or give it away or something. The BSA Sweet Sixteen is about like the Simmons IMO. It will be fine for awhile but then you will feel under-glassed and end up buying a Nikon or Vortex anyway.

I have many Vortex and would look at the Crossfire line, they even make a 2-7x. I also have recently ventured into Athlon and they seem to be very well made and good for the money.
I have wasted so much time on Barska, NCStar and Sightmark that it’s disturbing. I own NONE now and won’t waste my valuable time, money and energy on crappy optics to only end up frustrated.

From the introduction, I see you want for less than $50.. The cheap scopes will be cheap.. I'll assume you won't be shooting any great distance, Have you ever looked thru a red dot ? Most of the cheap scopes seem to be 3-9 or greater and you don't need that magnification for 25-50 yds.. If you can work with a red dot that may be your best and cheapest route but I don't know if it will just mount to the Marlin 60s top..
I probably have around 1500 rounds on this scope. It definitely feels and functions much better than a $30 scope has a right to.
