Keeping the real world away from your children will ultimately hurt them when they have to live in it for real.
Exactly! Children should be allowed to be innocent and have that treasured time without being indoctrinated by homosexuals! I do not want that lifestyle pushed off on any child. I don't push my lifestyle off on anyone and no one should push theirs on me or my grandchildren. And the children don't need to be taught that this is an accepted lifestyle because it isn't acceptable regardless if one is a Christian or not.

Why the hate? Because they are different? Because they have different beliefs than you? So what they like the same sex, that doesn't explain the hate and vitriol that you just spewed and that I've seen in other posts. I've seen similar responses from people who claim to be followers of Christ yet that goes against the very teachings expressed in the bible. That is the point I'm trying to get across.
Read the Bible, mine says that if someone doesn't listen to the teachings of Christ that we are to "Shake the dust off our garments on their doorstep and go on to the next town/city."
If they are unwilling to change, they are given over to a reprobate mind. There is no hate here, they are indoctrinating our children into a lifestyle of sin.

Then why is this not practiced at colleges and universities? Safe spaces and puppies to cuddle when students get 'micro-aggressed' is keeping the 'real world' away from college students and people of college age should be mature enough to handle 'words that hurt' and cope with it like mature adults.

I don't object to parents teaching kids about 'alternate lifestyles' but for Pete's good sake, the schools have no business doing this.

I have to agree with Tanis on the why the hate? I can read Romans 1 and and its very clear and simple on this topic. I do not agree with the actions that these people partake in, or that they are trying to indoctrinate children that its okay. Yet I am only accountable for my actions and my children's till they are old enough to account for themselves. I think one major issue is people aka Christians mainly treat this differently than any other sexual sin. For some reason it has been elevated above other sins. I think that could be an error on the (Churches) part to acknowledge it as such. That has in turn caused the coalition of people committing this sin to become so powerful in their fight against the (Church). The bible says "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." So these people put their time and money into fighting for what they want.

As for allowing them into places of power in the church. That is just churches being churches. Long ago most organized religion left the tried and true way of preaching the bible aka "The Word of GOD" and letting GOD do the rest. Now its smoke machines, fancy lights and rock concerts, self help books, along with enough daily activities planned at the church that you never have to interact with the real world. Aka the mission field. Most of these Churches are simply non profit businesses that are in the business of property management and making money for those employed by said business.

I would say just because you may find it repulsive doesn't mean its any different than adultery, fornication or the other multitude of sexual and bodily sins listed in the bible. Most people aren't flipping out about kids having premarital sex. Or their buddy cheating on their wife and so on. Of all the guys here that think homosexuality is disgusting. How many of you are okay with a couple hot chicks doing it? Does that repulse you to the same level? I tried to avoid going there on this thread. The likelihood anyone will have a changed opinion when this thread dies or is locked is very small. I would just say we can never affect any positive change in anyone if we don't interact with the world and show them some of the grace we are shown daily. I am not saying condone it, but we all interact with sinners everyday that we don't cut all ties with. I know for me if Heaven isn't a gift, I have no way I will be allowed in.

Simple - political correctness. It is deemed evil if it is right-leaning/conservative, and it is progressive and desirable if it is left-leaning/liberal in nature. I know we don't NEED to explain this, but there it is.

Get ready to be legislated out of existence, conservatives. You ARE the new Nazis, according to the left.

. It's just. matter of time, what used to be right is now wrong and what used to be wrong is now right-according to the group that "anything goes." What kind of nation re we going to have a few decades from now? Free schooling, free medical, taxes increased to the point that we cannot afford to send our own kids to college, drug usage will be rampant, syringes and needles in public areas will be acceptable as will any lifestyle one can dream up. Maybe people will even marry animals. (I think they do that now)

We're already there, man. lol. Drug use on the streets, streets filled with human excrement and yet - housing prices soaring over $1M on average. All of this in one of the "most beautiful cities in America." Not hard to figure out where we're going to be in a few decades...

Just look 2,547 miles SE of downtown Oklahoma City.

Just as an afterthought of Blake's post, keep in mind that when Jesus Christ came to the world, he put sin in a higher plane. When the Old Testament spoke of "Do not commit adultery," Jesus took it further by saying that "just the thought of someone else with lust" was a sin. There is more in the Sermon on the Mount that we should all look at with "new eyes."

3 year olds are still working on the whole don't pee the bed thing!! Dealing with alternative life styles needs to be way down the road!! It is not some cartoonists job to subject kids to all the world issues, that is the parents job and frankly when other folks take it upon themselves to subject their ideals on someone else's children they should have a serious smacking up side the head. Don't tell folks that what people do behind closed doors is no one else's business and then tell them in the same breath that they have the right to subject your kids to this stuff!!
Kids will ask the questions when it is time or the parents can fill in the blanks. Not some asshat who is not paying for that childs lively hood!
