I currently own a Remington R1S and I like the feel and looks of a 5" plain Jane GI M1911 45 ACP plus I seem to shoot one considerably better than the Glock 21-4 that I recently sold here but I'll have to admit that I like the higher magazine capacity of the Glock better than the M1911 when going to the range (Glock = 13, M1911 = 7).
I know that I could just purchase and load up a whole bunch of 7 round magazines prior to going to the range or even purchase a 'X' round extended magazine or two but I don't like the way they look hanging out the bottom of the mag well.
If you've not yet figured it out I'm kinda looking to add another 45 ACP to my handgun inventory .
Without having to second mortgage the house are there any mfgs currently offering a extra capacity (double stack) 45 ACP that otherwise stays pretty much true to the original M1911 design / look ?
I also like the three dot sights that came on the R1S compared to the small standard M1911 GI sights.
