I think binary triggers will be on the chopping block, just like bumpfire stocks.

The arm braces will be out as well. There’s gonna be a whole lot of folks needing NFA stamps for SBR’s.
What’s going to be the issue is the owner will have the SBR in their possession while getting the stamp. That’s gotta be a nightmare for the Feds.

I don’t think it will be any worse than when they declared the Striker 12 gauge a DD and it had to be registered. I think if pushed a lot of people would just take the brace off and leave the tube sticking out and still call it a pistol.

If you were to form 1 one of these remember overall length will be critical and when you screw on the filter it becomes the overall length.
So put something like 14" as OAL to cover any size filter.
According to BATFE a suppressor can be shorter than OAL stated on paperwork but not longer. Such as if you blew out the end-cap and had to shorten to re-thread. But leaving in a thread adapter permanently exceeds the OAL stated. So it can be confiscated.

If doing a Form 1, do you have to submit and receive approval prior to starting construction of the item (say a solvent trap suppressor)? Or can you have the UNASSEMBLED parts on hand, but you can't assemble them until the approval has arrived?

If I read the article right, no you can't.
