Had a old sporterized 1889 schmidt rubin given to me awhile back and I disassembled it to a bunch of parts. The stock was broken and not repaired very well and was falling apart. Found another old stock and cleaned it and made it fit the way I wanted it.

Not bad work at all. Just make sure not to use GP11 ammo in it. It was designed for the black powder GP90 round.
Thanks,
I have been doing a lot of research and going to play with loads from the lower end of the 30/40 krag, from what I have read they are well below the pressure limits of the old girl. I also have some trail boss I have loaded for some older guns, might try it using the directions on the hodgdon web page. Should be pretty safe.
