Ok. So I am looking for OKC/Norman area contacts for such things as Gunsmithing, Plating (at least businesses that can do the prep work for outsourcing gun plating), and Coatings IE Cerakote, PVD aka Physical Vapor Deposition (haven't tried this one before but i know that its done for metal in other industries, Anyone ever get a gun coated with PVD???), possibly Hydradip, and also Laser Engraving/Etching.
I just got my STI Spartan chrome and gold plated, looking for suggestions on Laser Engraving/Etching business around the area.
So who do you all go to for these various applications? I'm looking to make some good Business contacts for future projects. So who do you all got?
Thanks in advance.

So your going to cut thru the plating to have it engraved? Think I would of had it engraved first. Or does laser engraving just mar/discolor the surface?

Laser engraving can be very shallow or deep nowdays. Just depends on what you want. Im choosing something very very shallow just enough to contrast the chrome. Figured I'd stick with the "Spartan" theme. What about Hydrographics? Anyone have any suggestions on businesses around the area? I got a stock I'd like to get done. Who do you all go to for other Gunsmithing needs?

Depends on the laser being used. Most won’t do much to the steel, plating, etc.c other than mark it.
But there are some that will actually cutbinto the parent metal. Those are the minority out there.

I supported one that would cut up to 2” if remember correctly. I know they used it to cut 16ga to 1/2” steel all the time with it. Large scale, but I know there are some that will 3D engrave with precision into a steel firearm.
