When I was a kid, my dad tried to get me interested in NASCAR. But I would fall asleep during the round... and round... and round... races.

Now the IMSA and SCCA races on the twisty circuits were more my style. Especially when a 935 Porsche belched yard-long flames during the downshift to a sharp corner!

I like the old NASCAR stuff ...cars looked like the ones you could go buy.

Could you imagine the viewers that would go watch 40 of these old cars battle it out today with the old school BB engines.
I love seeing old iron going down the road.
And the above is not really Old iron

Nascar has been falling apart for the last several years, was a time you couldn't buy a ticket but now there having a hard time selling them. All the rule changes and the older drivers leaving has just killed it, I don't think it will ever be as big as it once was, may not even survive another 20 years with the way things are going, corporate money rules motorsports unless your just very rich and want to do it and the corporate seems to be leaving all motorsports slowly but surely, NHRA is in the same boat I think the Street Outlaws pro-wrestling on wheels show has better ratings than the NHRA national event broadcasts on FOX. Its a sad deal but they did it to themselves.
