Had a trade in the works for a riding mower and a little boot since it needs a battery and his wife found out. She told him, he did not need another gun. Do wives not understand the completely manly need for more firearms? Would she understand if her husband told her she did not need more clothes, jewelry, or shoes? I think not. She would make him sleep on the couch. It is such a double standard!

Okay, vent over. :P

Call me a caveman but that "my wife said no" crap never happened in my home.

Maybe that's one reason I'm divorced but I won't have someone telling me what I can and can't do with things I bought with my hard earned money.

I'm a full grown man! [emoji16]

Yep, your single. :clap3::clap3::clap3:

I trade all the time, it is something I have always done.
The wife and I share the same logic if all the bills are paid and there is something you want you can get it.
And my bills are always paid and on time.
When I got my first house we would sometimes only have 8 bucks left in the bank at the end of the month but all bills were paid and plenty of food for the family and the cars had gas in them.

No I did not spend the 8 bucks.
If you are to that point I can see you not needing another toy.
But if you are way better off than that a toy should not be an issue especially if it is a trade deal.

Together over 30 years with my wife.

Generally, "My wife won't let me" means that they've changed their minds and they are looking for an excuse.
I ran into a deal like that here several years ago.

A lot of guys don't have the balls to tell you they changed their mind so they pull out the "my wife said no" card which just makes them look like a puss instead of a douche.

I'd rather be divorced, making my own decisions and getting some strange over being married to someone who tells me what I can or can not do and "has a headache"
