Brisket has became so expensive we don’t buy it anymore.
I about had heart failure at Sam's the other day. They've lately entered the "boutique" arena and started carrying some prime graded beef. They had a full packer brisket and it was crazy priced. Funny thing is that in my BGE I can't see any difference so I just buy select now. Brisket is a cheap cut of meat and there's fools out there paying like it's almost wuygu.

The days of .99 per lb packer trimmed are long gone.

Dang @RickN; I gotta try the stuffed pumpkin thing now. That looks...festive. And good!

Wife loves it so much we bought another pie pumpkin today because she wants me to make one with shredded chicken, barley, onion and mushrooms.

Another member of the cast iron cooking group on Facebook makes her's with venison, wild rice, wild mushroom and wild onions which sounds great.

I plan to buy some walking onions next year and plant them in the field behind me. I hope they will choke out some of the weeds back there and give me a source for wild onions in a few years.

Also called bunching onions. Some are bred to do in big pots as well. We have some in a pot and a corner of the garden. They reseed really well. Had em for years in the same spot.

If y'all dig an awesome shrimp cocktail that's very filling with lots of shrimp, diced cucumber, onion and tomato, this is as good as they come. Comes with some packets of Mexican hot sauce and that makes it perfect.
This is at Tacos Don Nachos on about sw36 and council. @druryj this is close to you I think.
I eat there once a week at least

@jmike314 did you quit eating man? Wheres them food photos?

Ha!
Me quit eating....not likely. Got the belly to prove it.
Football season keeps a coach busy. Haven’t had the time like summer but I get my grill fix on the weekends or, like tonight, after dark.
Always have a steak while I’m watching my Irish play on Saturday.

Got a good sized chicken breast from the butcher shop going right now.

This turned out to be the best steak I ever cooked.

I grill all year as long as I’ve got charcoal or a tank of propane.

Chicken breast for lunch tomorrow......
