Idiots - at Dick’s prices the number of guns destroyed is probably underwhelming.

That was my thought their price was MSRP + so they that is probably a lot less guns that you think.

It's symbolism over substance. It did absolutely NOTHING to make anyone safer, but it LOOKS like they got rid of a bunch of "assault weapons". Giving them to police departments doesn't look so much like they did anything.
