Wife is afraid one of us will fall and break a hip or something on a slap floor. I have leg issues and she old and decrypted. :P :P :P

I wanted to tear up the living room carpet and just paint it or put down roll vinyl that looks like wood flouring but neither went over with the wife or we could afford.
Slab floors arent slippery, just wear house shoes with a rubber bottom or use throw rug. But get an air test done.

Slab floors don't generally even have that slick finish burned into them. It's easier to snag a toe on carpet than to slip on concrete.
Might want to keep it dry though. (Just another opinion)

Have you tried putting a few HEPA filters in your house? You could put one in each room that you spend most of your time in.

We had a small one and just bought a bigger unit for the bedroom and it does seem to be helping. I hope next month to buy another. I wish I could afford a big unit for the living room but that is out of my reach for awhile.

As far as ripping up the carpet, docs will not even let me use a self propelled lawn mower. No way I can move the furniture and remove it, or carry it out. Heck takes 2 men and a mule just to move the old 32" TV in there. :P

You thought they 'forgot'? lol.

That's cute. :P

Naw, we got along great in fact they would sometimes come hide in my room when the screamers and stuff got to be to much. I had 5 in there at one time for close to an hour just talking about things.

I don’t know your situation, but sometimes one can not afford NOT to do something. Especially when you’re health is at stake and may be costing hundreds of thousands of dollars, much less your comfort.
I’d be glad to come work for a few hours removing carpet and moving furniture. We could vacuum, clean the floor and probably put down some epoxy or other inexpensive floor covering.

I thank you for the offer but not sure I could put anyone else health at risk plus I have no way to get rid of the old carpet, or to even help.
