The real practicality of hemp oil might be the affordability vs similar energy density to diesel. If only they can solve the oxidation issue as it doesn't have a long storage life like diesel.
Wrong, stored in a dark cool place I have stored oil for at least a year. Hemp oil is no different than soy bean oil in that its a tri-triglyceride molecule. And planes burn JP8 which is highly refined diesel so yes, it could be used as fuel in planes as well as trucks.
I'm no hippie either but I do know all thinks "oil as fuel."
And it doesnt oxidize, it polymerizes which turns it real thick and into the worlds stickiest stuff ever..

Potato potato... It doesn't have the storage life of diesel, yet... that's the point I was making.

If you buy a geman car, there is a lot of the parts made from hemp. Dash panels, seats,,,I dont know what all but there is hemp in a Mercedes.
I was just referring to the airplane. They were still making rope, bags and many other products out of hemp when I was a kid. In fact that's where the term "smoke a rope" originated, I believe.
