LOL. That’s why I enjoy working my three ranges. Never know what you’ll find. Two weeks ago it was 7.62 Nagant shells. This week it’s 350 Legend, and a big bunch of them. The latest and, cough, greatest from the 2019 Shot Show? After reading Chuck Hawks assessment of this shell, it’s nothing to write home about. Something the size of a short 410, but not as wide. Much bigger than a 357 magnum, but, but, but. There is no useful purpose for this shell. The 35 Remington is more powerful, but that’s not saying much. While I appreciate the “Powers That Be” coming up with new compelling rounds, haven’t we already covered pretty much everything? Let’s take what we have and tweak it with better gunpowder and better bullets with higher ballistic coefficients instead of reinventing the wheel! I’m Brother Bob and I approve this message! With that being said, Jeffery Epstein didn’t commit suicide! :uhwhat:

The .350 Legend was specifically developed for use in states that only allow straight walled cartridges for hunting. Those places don't allow 35 Remington or most other rifle cartridges, so its purpose was to provide a medium caliber cartridge with enough power for deer, where only straight cases are allowed. There are probably a ton of better options here, in some places, there may not be.

Plus... if you create something new that fills a niche that is not otherwise filled, that's not a bad business model. </shrug>

My 10 year old with her buck this year she shot with a 350 legend. We have built a lot of them for customers this year. They are a great platform for certain areas.

I found a piece or two of 350 brass earlier this year. A couple weeks ago my son and I were at the range a guy was sighting in his new 350 legend Ruger and he let my son and I shoot it. The thing I thought was interesting was he said he got ammo for less than $10 a box.
Here is a photo 38spl, 357 mag, 350 legend, .223 and .243.

Well brother Bob I hope you are collecting these and properly mounting them with their scientific details in mancave wall hangings for sale.

That would be a great sideline business.

Meh. I’ll be surprised if I ever pick any of those up again. This is Oklahoma, home of the 270, 30-30, and 30-06. That is what most use here. Occasionally I pick up 243 and 7mm-08, but 350 Legend in Oklahoma is for people that like to spend money on the newest and latest flavor of the week. In my neck of the woods, a 50-100 TD shot is about the norm. It’s heavily wooded here in Potawatomi County. Stand a better chance of hitting one in my truck. LOL
