Uh yeah, the arctic cat is done. I'm pretty sure they didn't offer a two piece shaft model. It will now be cannibalized and its remains dumped on the scrap trailer.
Not real sure exactly what happened to break it but it's definitely broke.

Friend of mine dropped off an old ATV. Said it would bog down on acceleration. I took it for a ride, it did. Then I saw the oil pumping from the trans/eng mating surface.

Drained 5 qts of gas/oil mixture from the 2.5 qt crankcase. There seems to be a problem here....

Decided to pull the carb and take a look. Unscrewed the drain plug from the carb, no fuel came out. Pulled the sparker and turned it over - fuel defiantly came out then, the cylinder was full of it.
Pulled the old Mikuni, the fuel bowl was full of poopie-doo ( as my wife calls it).

Got it cleaned up

Put a kit in - same floats and jet, everything else is replaced

Changed oil, changed the (leaking) fuel shutoff, changed diff oil, repaired a few other problems. I'll get it back together and give it back to him.

He got a screaming deal on this thing, I'd like to buy it for what he's got in it....

My new clutch arrived Friday for my truck. Didn't take any pictures throughout the replacement process cuz I was busy and covered in grime. @blake711 offered to come help my with it Friday evening and his help was much appreciated. We were working on my 2010 Ram 3500 dually 4x4 cummins. G56 trans. The Valair Dual Disk clutch another buddy and I put in it 6yrs ago was just starting to slip in the bottom of 4th and 5th. I went back in with the same setup. Blake came back over yesterday and finished helping me button up the drivelines and skidplates. I'm pretty sure both of us built some muscle during this workin on chit project. In the next week or so I'll probably be putting front axle U-joints in this truck and I'm thinking I'll just goat head and replace hub assemblies since I've got to pull em to do the ujoints anyhow. Miteiswell do ball joints while I'm in there too. I'm gonna have to find a way to trick Blake into coming over again.
As you can see in the pics below, I got every bit I could physically get from this clutch. The shift fork on the slave side was coming back far enough to bottom out and wear some notches on the fork.

I put air in my tires yesterday, haha. I've been pretty lucky, repair wise, with my Titan. No issues to speak of thus far (2014 Model). Just keeping the oil changed and taking care of it. I'm clearly not pushing it as hard as some other members here have to push their vehicles. I did put a head gasket on a friend's Taurus about 6 months ago. Talk about a MF'er to get torn down for a big guy with big hands.

My project was on a much smaller scale than Cowcatcher and Blake.
Been fighting a cold and hacking cough for 2 weeks now, and stayed home from hunting to rest up and try to kick it today.
Decided a man day in the shop cleaning guns would be a good way to do that.
Pulled the Savage Smokeless MZ from the safe and headed to the shop after slinging it on the shoulder. Heard a "tink", and stopped wondering what that was? Looked around on the concrete, didn't see anything and went on to the shop.
Getting into the shop unslung the rifle, and saw something drop out of the front of the scope. The rear sight screw came loose after 20 or so years, causing it to drop from the dovetail into the front of the scope where it was captured. That was the "tink" that was heard.
