Does anyone use the OKC VA as their only insurance? How is it?
When I retire I plan to use then as my health insurance.

Nope. I have insurance as a military retiree so I’ve never set foot in a VA medical center for treatment.
I’ll not tie up resources that others need more than me.
Don’t forget that if you have any other form of private insurance, the VA will bill that insurance for your non-service connected care.
Well, the VA isn’t insurance, they are a provider.
Are you eligible for Social Security?
I stand to be corrected on this, but you can only get treatment for a service related disability depending on your level of disability.
A buddy gets free eye glasses and shoes/socks because of diabetes as an example.
Again, depending on your disability and it’s level you can get eye and dental care but you have to pay if it’s not service connected.
Do yourself a favor and contact ODVA, Ok Dept of Veteran Affairs. They answer questions like yours every day and know far more about it than I do.
All that being said, I’ve never experienced any negative issues with the OKC VA.
I have no idea what all these people do, but they have an office on Highway 9 going west from I-35 south of Norman. (West of the Riverwind Casino.)
